Bernie is a leader in the fitness industry with over 35,000 hours of Personal Training experience. He is the owner of Exercise Endeavors INC, as well as River North Gym. His extensive background in health and fitness has earned him the respect of fellow peers in the fitness industry. Bernie is well known for training other certified trainers, a testament to his breadth of knowledge and unique ability to analyze and correct biomechanics. Currently, Bernie is focused on educating members and his team at River North Gym. He emphasizes the safest, most effective, and innovative exercises, maximizing results in a short period of time. Bernie truly cares about every member’s experience at River North Gym. While Bernie is currently not taking clients, he does enjoy working with our trainers on Continuing Education.

Taylor’s passion for fitness was discovered through strength and conditioning for soccer in high school. Her enthusiasm for strength training and performance enhancement intensified during her collegiate years in which she pursued a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology. Combined with being an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and years of intensive strength training, this gives her the knowledge and experience to get clients the results they want safely and effectively.
Andrew Richards: Personal Trainer

Andrew first began lifting weights back in his freshman year of high school, and through a sport career of soccer, wrestling, boxing, and mixed martial arts, he developed his passion for improving strength and performance. Since becoming a trainer six years ago he has competed successfully in crossfit, olympic weightlifting, and powerlifting, including two first & two second-place finishes. He holds a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, combined with his NSCA Strength & Conditioning Specialist certification, and an NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist. His science-based methodology leads to consistent progress for his clients, helping them become knowledgeable, confident, and above all, stronger than they ever imagined.

Besides training, Emily teaches Barre, Spin & The Sweat Principle..so you can expect to leave sweaty & happy! She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Rehabilitation Services, and is a NASM certified personal trainer. Emily is the happiest when clients accomplish their goals and when they tell her something is “too tough!” Emily can’t wait to take on the gym with you and find your inner athlete that wants to break free! Riley first discovered his passion for weightlifting while playing high school football. While pursuing an active lifestyle and gaining more interest in exercise, he then enlisted in The United States Navy. Riley’s experience in the Navy, partnered with his NASM Personal Training Certification, makes his training style dynamic and exciting. His work ethic, attention to detail and high levels of motivation will push you in pursuing your fitness goals.
Maurice Zakhem: Personal Trainer

Maurice is a life long martial artist and athlete having competed at the national team level in Rugby, semi-pro level at basketball and is currently leaving his mark as a professional fighter. Maurice is an ASFA certified trainer whose diverse experience has led to an all encompassing holistic approach to training that ensures long term results in one’s overall fitness. Maurice has experience teaching martial arts, animal/dynamic movement training as well as strength and conditioning, to the elderly, children and high level athletes.
